those who "suffered at the hands" of priests during his
Christmas message.
His apology comes after the federal government’s move to
establish a royal commission into the responses by institutions,
including churches, to child sexual abuse cases.
Bravehearts founder HETTY JOHNSTON says Cardinal PELL's
statement represents a "cultural shift" in the church… as it
comes to terms with the role played by some its clergy.
*** The Attorney-General NICOLA ROXON says her
department did not advise Queensland Labor MP GRAHAM
PERRETT, who's asked the Australian Federal Police to

referring the agency to a Federal Court judgment earlier which
suggested Mr ASHBY may had acted "in combination" with
another SLIPPER staffer KAREN DOANE and former

Several batches of Ventolin and Asmol inhalers are affected by the recall, due to a fault in the delivery mechanism of a small number of inhalers… which can lead to less than the full dose being delivered for each puff. PUTIN’s meeting with Indian PM MANMOHAN SINGH had to be moved to a new location, due to violent protests in central New Delhi related to the recent gang-rape of a female student. *** In FINANCE… The Australian share market ended higher during a shortened trading session today in the lead up to Christmas.
