I have over 15 years of experience combined in the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, and Medical Device Industry, with the last 11 years focused primarily on the pharmaceutical industries in critical care. My previous experience includes working as a Critical Care RN, Nurse Manager and Adult Nurse Practitioner in the Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Respitory ICU, and in Primary Care in the clinic and home care setting. In addition I have been an Adjunct Professor at a University since 2004 teaching undergraduate nursing students in the hospital and didactic settings. I am extremely proficient in providing strategic and operational leadership for the healthcare and pharmaceutical initiatives, ensuring tight integration of all critical components which are necessary in order to be successful in the promotion/training of pharmaceutical agents in the Hospital Setting. My current professional role is at Volcano Corporation working as a Clinical Sales Specialist with an Imaging Vascular Ultrasound Device (IVUS) and a Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) device. I am also currently a Doctoral Student in the Education department doing research on Celiac Disease at Dowling College in NY. I live in East Williston with my husband and 3 children. I have successfully launched several products (Lantus, Cleviprex, and Iprivask) in very challenging and competitive market spaces. As a Manager for Strategic Development, I have developed their multi-channel capabilities, ensuring development and leadership of critical care specialists in four regions, provided efficiency models and consistency across partner teams including the Territory and Regional Business Managers, Medical Science, Marketing and CEO/CFO. My most recent leadership role, as the National Sales Manager at Canyon Pharmaceuticals included hiring, training, leadership development, incorporating ideas on case management and the creation and utilization uptake of productive business plans. My main areas of expertise are understanding all areas of the Hospital Setting, getting formulary approval, working with Key Opinion thought leaders both Regionally and Nationally, and working with C-Suite level people to understand the current changes in the hospital setting both locally and on a system level.
