methyl-1,3,5 triazin-2- yl) ureidosulfonyl] benzoate, sodium salt, in or on wheat, forage at 0.10 ppm; wheat, grain at0.02 parts per million (ppm); wheat, hay at 0.05 ppm; and wheat, straw at 0.05 ppm.

Specifications for heavy metals are strengthened or established in the following 30 items:Microcrystalline cellulose, guar gum, lecithin, locust bean gum, lysozyme, tagetes extract, beewax, bentonite,powdered cellulose, beet red, xanthan gum, shellac, cyclodextrin, arabic gum, annatto extract, alginic acid,liquid paraffin, invertase, gellan gum, carnauba wax, caramel color, karaya gum, curdlan, cochineal extract, taragum, tannic acid, d-tocopherol concentrate (mixed), d-a-tocopherol concentrate, tragacanth gum, oleoresinpaprika.
Specifications for residual solvents are established in the following 5 items:Guar gum, locust bean gum, xanthan gum, cyclodextrin, tannic acid.
Microbiological criteria are established for 12 items:Guar gum, locust bean gum, lysozyme, bentonite, xanthan gum, cyclodextrin, alginic acid, invertase, gellan gum, karaya gum, curdlan, tragacanth gum.
Specifications for contents of cyclodextrin and d-tocopherol concentrate (mixed) are revised.
By means of this regulation, standards for manufacture of genetically modified food additives are established. Definitions of hypochlorous acid water, cyclodextrin and d-tocopherol concentrate (mixed) are revised. Standards for use of smoke flavour are also revised.
Proposed Amendments to the Standards & By means of this regulation, tolerances for residues of 40 kinds of pesticides including iminoctadine are revised, and
tolerances for residues of prohexadione-calcium are established in agricultural products. The proposed regulation also establishes tolerances for residues of 21 kinds of veterinary drugs including nafcillin,and revises tolerances for residues of 3 veterinary drugs including danofloxacin in foods. A requirement is established that anti-impotence drug analogues (thiohomosildenafil, desulfovardenafil, nitrodenafil,cyclopentynafil, octylnortadalafil) should not be detected in foods. The proposed regulation allows limited use of n-acetylglucosamine, plant sterol, plant sterol ester, and plant stanolester in foods as ingredient.
To establish migration limits and test methods for benzophenone used as a printing ink component.
To tighten migration standards for:- antimony (Sb) in polyethyleneterephthalate (PET);- methylmethacrylate in acryl resin, polymethacrylstyrene (MS) and methylmethacrylate-acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer (MABS); and- sulphur dioxide, ortho-phenylphenol, thiabendazole, biphenyl and imazalil in wood.
To strengthen the residual limit and test method for PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyl) in paper or processed paper.

Deltamethrin, Dicofol, Fludioxonil, Hexythiazox, Imidacloprid, Methoxyfenozide, Pirimicarb, Pirimiphos-methyl,Propiconazole, Pyraclostrobin, Pyrimethanil, Quinoxyfen, Tebufenozide, and Trifloxystrobin on fruits, vegetables orcereals.
Interim Marketing Authorization regarding Health Canada has received a submission to permit the use of sucralose as a sweetener in pickles at a maximum
the use of sucralose as a sweetener in level of use of 0.015%. Evaluation of the available data supports the safety and effectiveness of sucralose as a pickles
sweetener in pickles. Therefore, it is the intention of Health Canada to recommend that the Food and Drug Regulations be amended to permit the use of sucralose as a sweetener in pickles at a maximum level of use of 0.015%. As a means to improve the responsiveness of the regulatory system, an Interim Marketing Authorization is being issued to permit the immediate use of sucralose, as indicated above, while the regulatory process is undertaken to amend the Regulations. The proposed regulatory amendments would be enabling measures to allow the sale of pickles containing sucralose as a sweetener. The amendments are supported by the safety assessment and would have a low impact on the economy and the environment. Consequently, the regulatory amendments may proceed directly to final approval and publication in the Canada Gazette, Part II
